New Myallocator Pricing Coming Soon

Hey all, this is Adam from Cloudbeds. Just a heads-up: We are working on a new pricing structure for all of our products, including myallocator. We will have hostel-only pricing, which comes at a significant discount from pricing designed for other properties.

Also, our existing myallocator customers will be grandfathered in at a lower price. We have not yet decided what this will be yet. Like we always do, we'll make sure to let the hostel community know about any changes we make as soon as they available.

When we acquired myallocator, the Mark and Mo had a pricing structure that was below the industry standard, which we have kept to this day. Comparable channel managers cost magnitudes more than myallocator. We're committed to making sure that our pricing is competitive in the industry. Once we publish our new pricing system, our prices for myallocator will still be lower than competing channel managers.

Since we acquired myallocator, we have made many major improvements to it. We've connected to dozens of more OTAs, PMSs, booking engines, and other online marketplaces. Myallocator is a more advanced product today than it was a year ago. Every month, we publish improvements and innovations that make myallocator a more useful tool for hostels.

Our decision to increase the price of myallocator is not only a competitive one, but also a practical one. The existing price has not kept up with inflation for years. Our cost to onboard new myallocator customers exceeds the revenue we earn from each new customer. This new pricing structure helps keep myallocator working.

We'll make sure myallocator will still be a great deal after our pricing changes. We're confident that after we publish our new pricing structure, myallocator will still be the most appealing channel manager on the market for hostels, in terms of both price and functionality.

Our new pricing will go live in the next few weeks. I'll be sure to come here and announce it when we're ready, but I wanted to give you all a heads up.

Hello Adam,
myallocator has went through some major changes since it moved from scotland onto your servers around 2014. Most of those changes are invisible to the users, but for me as a PMS provider it was a hard nut to crack. I am back with high motivation to make the integration work as seamless as possible again, but obviously the financial aspect is as crucial as the technical is.
I do understand that a company like yours cannot continue to provide prices like Marc and Mo when there is added value and higher integration of the whole system, which is definitely a lot of work.
So as a software developer involved into the whole thing for a few years now i do have an idea as your new price structure still seems to be under construction. What about a basic account to myallocator, which offers only the most important parts of a channel manager to the hostelmanagers, meaning the ability to automatically update their availability on all the OTAs(*) they are connected to via myallocator and their PropertyManagementSystem. This is also technically the most basic part, meaning it takes only very little ressources compared to much more sopisticated services like automatically putting all bookings coming from the different OTAs into the PMS of the hostel(**), instead of simply sending emails containing the booking informations .
And also the manual updating of availability from the managers via your website takes a lot more of ressources from your server and development team, and of course your support team, having to deal with all the problems on manual entering the availabilities by the hostel managers every day.
It would be great to hear if this could be a reasonable step for you, to offer such a basic account with access to the most basic and wellknown and tested features of myallocator.

(*)Online Travel Agents: e.g. hostelworld.com, gomio.com, hotels.com ...
(**)The myallocator server has to do very complex and ressource consuming tasks to do automated updates of all customers PMSes which is also a source for a lot of errors and trouble.
