What is a Journeys Hostel?
For over six years, Journeys Hostels have been reviving public houses by
introducing our hostel model to businesses, boosting revenue hugely by delivering a fresh market to their doorsteps. How does it work?
Becoming a Journeys Hostel couldn’t be simpler, and in some cases, a
public house can be feeling the benefits of income within a matter of weeks.
We have a 5-step process to quickly transform your business;
Step one.
Our experienced and friendly Business Development Manager and a member
of our Hostel Design Team will conduct a full assessment of the suitability of
your property to become a Journeys Hostel, and will run through a franchise
questionnaire with you, as well as answering any questions you may have.
Step Two.
A Journeys Information Pack will be sent to you, to allow you to familiarise
yourself with all areas the business.
Step Three.
Once approved, we will invite you to take a tour of another Journeys Hostel
property and you will receive an expert opinion for the costs involved to
transform your building into a Journeys Hostel. We will also assist you by
pointing you in the direction of our approved construction, planning, and
credit providers, who have helped many Journeys Hostels become a reality.
Step Four.
Fully briefed and informed on the Journeys Hostel franchise, you make the
decision to become a franchisee and sign the franchise agreement,
submitting proof of funds/finance available to you.
Conversion works can take place on your building, monitored periodically
against our design standards by a member of our Design Standards Team.
Step Five.
We provide a comprehensive 3 day franchise training course, covering all
areas including Journeys Brand Standards, Operational Best Practice,
Financial Accounts Procedures, and Sales & Marketing. This is followed by 2
days shadowing another Journeys franchisee at their property, then once
your building is signed off by our Franchise Manager you are ready to trade!
Once my Journeys Hostel is open, what will I get as a Franchisee and what will it cost me?
In return for just 10% of your gross accommodation and fixed Sales &
marketing fee, you can expect the following from us; Special Franchisee Resources.
As soon as your Journeys Hostel opens, you will receive constant support
from your Franchise Services Manager and Business Development Manager.
These two professionals form your Journeys Support Team, working in
frequent, personalised consultations with you and your staff to increase
revenue, create a unique working environment, and help out with operations.
Global Sales Department.
Our Global Sales Department will act as an addition to your on-site sales
facility. Here you will find our Account Managers - experienced sales
professionals in all key areas of the market. These experts will be working
around the clock, driving business straight to your doorstep.
Journeys Standards Quality Guarantee.

Journeys Procurement Services .
Journeys Hostels can save you time and money by providing access to
products and services to help you run your hostel. This service can be used to
get any furniture or equipment, food & beverage stock, laundry services,
statutory maintenance services (Fire systems equipment & certification etc),
Insurance, I.T equipment and support, and also the printing of any branded
collateral needed for your hostel premises.
Brand Standards Audit.
Your Journeys Support Team will visit quarterly to see how you are getting on, evaluating the overall experience and condition of your property, leaving helpful feedback in the form of a solution-based evaluation.
