Beach Village Life in the Middle of Nowhere, Brazil

Greetings from That Hostel in Itaúnas, Brazil!

Well off the beaten path about halfway between Rio de Janeiro and Salvador rests Itaúnas. In the very north of Espirito Santo, almost in Bahia, this seaside paradise boasts some of nature´s finest creations.

With stunning, secluded beaches, a warm and welcoming ocean, rolling sand dunes, a placid river, and the mangroves all around you, any fan of nature will easily fall in love with Itaúnas at first sight.

That Hostel in Itaúnas, Espirito Santo is a small hostel catering to friendly, open-minded travelers that desire a place with a quiet, peaceful environment and a chill vibe to kick back and relax while traveling the coast of Brazil.

Started and run by two passionate travelers - Grant, from Rochester, New York and Paula, from Vitória, Brazil - That Hostel is more than just a place to spend the night. That Hostel in Itaúnas is a community.

We are the first hostel in the lovely, seaside village of Itaúnas, Espirito Santo and we are beyond excited to show you a wonderful time while staying with us in paradise.

We opened last month and so far the response has been great. Because we are new, we are unable to offer a paid position of any kind but we are definitely interested in taking in long-term travelers who can help out with some different projects that we are in the process of starting. From teaching English to the youth of the community to volunteer opportunities in Itaúnas State Park (which surround That Hostel), there will be many things to do while here in Itaúnas. Not to mention, this is a great place to come and work on your Portuguese! If you are interested in learning more or talking about other opportunities, please send us an email at [email protected]

Check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thathostel or our website, www.thathostel.com to see some photos to get a better idea of who and where we are.

Peace, love, and happy travels!
