Brief description:
Our beloved & partly renovated party hostel is just about to open its gates in Budapest, Hungary on the 1st of May. It is located above one of the top rated pubs of the city, called Fogas Ház&Fogas Kert or simply Fogas. We are looking for open-minded, cheerful and hardworking volunteers.
Skills needed and duties:
We are searching for you if you are fluent in English, energetic, reliable, motivated but not taking life too seriously. You would have take some shifts (night shifts also), entertain/party with the hostel's guests, lend a hand with some daily stuff which can take place in a hostel's life; such as organizing programs, making beds, acting like a handyman, carrying things and the list goes on.
Working hours:
Maximum 25 hours a week.

First of all, you will get introduced to Hungarian culture through different kinds of activities like guided tours - which are of course free of charge for you, common cooking(Hungarian cuisine is tasty), drinking games, maybe even folk dance.
Since this is a hostel, you will meet lots of people from all over the world meaning that you can get familiar not only with Hungarian but other nations as well. We are going to have international nights with the volunteers where you can introduce your countries and the special traditions/habits that are present there.
If you are brave enough to get a taste of our language, brace yourselves -- it is a particularly hard one. Don't worry too much though, by the time you leave us you will have learnt how to say 'hi' and 'cheers' at least. The opportunity is also given to learn other languages of course.
What else you are going to learn is how to work in team, sum up your group's ideas and make awesome things happen. You will be involved in organizing parties, advertising and cooking so you can improve your skills in these fields. Additionally, you will get a basic understanding of how booking systems and a hostel's life works in general.
