Project & Maintenance Manager

We are Clink Hostels, a privately owned, award winning, fast growing hostel business looking for someone with strong project management skills and experience at a senior level to help us continue enhance our facilities and overall guest experience. We think we have got a pretty cool business and have done a good job over the last 10 years, opening 2 hostels in London with a 1,000 beds and a new hostel coming on stream in Amsterdam in 2015 with 850 beds. The role exists to take ownership of Clink’s project management and maintenance strategies to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the hostel and its facilities. The role holder will also be directly accountable for the execution of both planned and reactive maintenance tasks and projects.

The role will be responsible for a small maintenance team, already in place, as well as being part of the senior leadership team for the business. The role will involve contact with all parts of the business as well as external contractors and engineers. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will involve defining and working within agreed budgets aligned to an ambitious busines strategy.

The Key Responsibilities of the role are…
• The successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, management and closure of all on-going sort and long term projects at all Clink London properties, with a particular focus on Maintenance
• Managing the maintenance team who are in charge of maintaining the physical structure of all Clink London properties
• Ensuring all Health and Safety standards and obligations for the London properties are being met

Key Attributes for the Role
- Proven all-round senior management, leadership and team skills, in particular in building strong working relationships with all stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Proven project management skills and commercial acumen
- Ideally, formally qualified in the area of project management (e.g. PRINCE2) and up to date knowledge of relevant project management tools
- Ideally, a good understanding of the hospitality industry
- Have up to date knowledge of health and safety compliance management
