Volunteer for Birch Bay Washington Lions Club Hostel

The Birch Bay Lions Club is looking for a volunteer for their 40 bed hostel in the North West Corner of the US.

Duties may include:
- reservations and checking in guests
- housekeeping including kitchen and bathrooms
- laundry bedding and towels
- answering telephone and emails.
- scheduling and supervising volunteers
- participating in Lions Clubs meetings and activities an option

Ideally you will be flexible and require minimal supervision. Experience in the hostel environment and/or customer service an asset.

You will be given your own private room with Queen or Double Bed. Small quiet pet considered. Ideal for writers and artists or those looking to be in a quiet and peaceful environment.

The building is a restored 1950's Military Building - Blaine Air Force Radar Station and now part of Bay Horizon Park,a 68 acre park that has an abundance of birds and other wildlife. There is a gym and safe walking trails. The beach is half a mile away where you can collect crabs, clams and watch colorful sunsets.

We are located 10 minutes from the Canada-US border. 40 minutes to Vancouver, British Columbia and 2 hours to Seattle.

There is limited bus service in the area but friendly neighbors.

We are looking for a minimum of 28 day commitment with a possibility of extension.
