Work-Exchange, Concierge-Online Marketing at #1 Puerto Rico / Caribbean Hostel (30-Day Position w/ possibility of extension)
The SJIHostel is in need of a Daily, Evening Concierge
The SJIHostel (in San Juan, Puerto Rico, USA – Caribbean), is looking for an Evening Concierge. (7pm to 11pm).
A 2-time Award-Winning (2012, 13), Hostel #1 in Puerto Rico, in need of a friendly, outgoing, and organized individual to be our evening concierge starting on 01 May 13. As exchange, participant will receive from SJIHostel accommodation in our Casita in a Private Dorm room, use of a new bicycle for moving around San Juan, and an addition stipend for overnight stand-by.
The position call for someone able to interact with internet applications, among other: Google Drive, PayPal, Booking sites; Facebook, Twitter. On the job training will be provided if needed.
The concierge also expected to be part of our online marketing effort.
In addition to previously discussed internet multiple tasks, duties will include:
• Greeting and checking in guests
• Assisting guests with directions and suggestions for navigating our Santurce neighborhood, San Juan, and the metro area.
• Answering guests’ inquiries regarding hostel amenities and guidelines
• Obtaining payment from guests upon their arrival and issuing invoices/receipts
• Updating all relevant documents to reflect guests’ arrival and current availability
As part of the concierge responsabilities, to act as the late-night hostel representative during 6 nights/shifts.$8 pernight as stipend. The individual will not be required to stay awake all night, but to be ready.
