Hey everyone, We’re looking for a few travelers to fill work/trade positions at the Green Tortoise Hostel in Seattle, Washington, USA. Seattle is the U.S.’s fastest growing city and world-famous for its love of coffee, soccer, oddball grunge musicians, and the beautiful views of the Puget Sound and surrounding mountain ranges. Seattle is a dream for those who love exploring the outdoors as it provides easy access to awesome hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, and mountain climbing spots. The city has a vibrant indie music scene, is home to Macklemore’s famous thrift shop, and an inordinate number of pinball bars. A number influential tech-companies including Microsoft, Amazon, and Nintendo America also call Seattle home. The position would generally require 18 hours of work per week in exchange for a bed, free breakfast everyday, and free dinner 3 times a week, as well as free participation in hostel events. We like to schedule people for 6 hours of work for 3 days and then you have 3 days off to explore the city or do whatever you want. The work is mostly cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. There may also be opportunities to lead social events such as pub crawls and neighborhood walking tours. Our hostel is famous for it's fun parties, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, endless hot water, and clean rooms. We are looking for people who can commit to at least one month.
