Assistant Manager Position - Wicked Hostels - Calgary

Hi,

I have 1 position open for a hard-working backpacker/hosteller to work in small start-up hostel in Calgary, AB. Wicked Hostel - Calgary is Calgary's newest boutique backpacker hostel. My current employee has to go home :( The digs are sweet, the location is amazing, the closest you can possibly be to the Stampede/Saddledome and within blocks of Calgary's 4 major entertainment areas, plus it comes with all of the amenties backpackers should be used to.

Major Duties include:
Front Desk - taking bookings, check-ins, potential guest walkthroughs, answering guest questions
Cleaning - taking down/making up beds, sweeping, bathrooms, washing/drying sheets/clothes
Cash-handling - taking money/cashing out after your shift
Tour-desk - assisting guests with forward travel/tour booking
Customer-service- making sure every guest has a remarkable time while at the hostel
Brainstorming - we are constantly looking for new ideas to make the hostel the best in Canada

Skills/Experience
Previous backpacking/hostelling experience necessary
Exceptional customer service/people-skills
Understanding the idea of under-promise and over-produce when dealing with guests.
Hospitality experience a plus
Basic computer skills
Most importantly, I am looking for someone who loves hostelling, loves people and is just an all-round wicked person.
