COMING SOON: THE TOP 50 HOSTELS IN NORTH AMERICA BOOK
From Zack Reed, author of Same Bag, Different Bunk: My Life Inside American Hostels, and Bobby Dyer, co-founder of ITH Hostels, Hostelmanagement.com, and Chair of the Marketing Committee for the North American Hostel Association, comes a book about the top 50 hostels in North America. The book will be produced and put out by Hostelmanagement.com in partnership with This Could Be Good Media.
The book, which will highlight the top hostels in North America, will be a compilation of interviews and stories that will tell the founder’s stories of the best hostels in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, as well as a spotlight on some of the continent’s industry’s most prominent and influential individuals. By highlighting each of the top 50 hostels in North America, backpackers will have a guide on where to find the best hostels and be able to book hostels directly and with promo codes.
To create the book, Bobby and Zack are launching a Kickstarter campaign as a way to raise the necessary money to produce, print, and ship the book internationally, and also as a way to promote the hostel industry in North America. The money raised will go towards production costs, as well as an ongoing marketing budget that will help promote the book across various platforms and social media outlets.
The goal for the fundraiser is set at $12,000, and any extra money received will go towards marketing the book through various social media and news outlets. From hosting release parties and pop-ups at various hostels, to running paid ads on several social media platforms and doing press outreach, the money raised on Kickstarter will help build awareness about not only the book but also the hostel industry as a whole.
By creating this book, their mission is to help educate people on what hostels are and show off the magic that happens in them each day. With the help of hostels around North America and the world, the book can be shared across various platforms and reach a wider audience.
Head over to Kickstarter to sign up for release updates. Share the link. Tell other hostel travelers and hostel owners about this new, exciting project. The project will officially launch in early October.
