Calle 11 Hostel is set in a beautiful Colombian villa located in El Rodadero, a safe and quiet area of Santa Marta. After a few years of hard work the hostel is now #1 on Trip Advisor in Santa Marta and rated 9.2 on Hostelworld and 8.8 on Booking.com We are proud to be a hostel with a style, a unique choice of music, high standards of cleaninless and the friendliest staff.
The story says the former owners of the Villa were related to the colombian mafia, and now that life is much more peacefull around we turned it into a beautiful hostel for you to use as your home away form home. The villa has a "wow"effect and charms everyone who open up the door: after coming up a narrow staircase the gardens opens on white balconies over looking the pool with its waterfall, all with a feel from a colombian fary-tale ...
The hostel is only a 3 minutes walk from the nicest beach in town, 15 minutes journey from the bus terminal and 10 minutes from Santa Marta airport. All our dormitory beds have a privacy curtain to give you individual space when you may wish to have it. Relax by our pool as you sip on a glass of wine, a frozen cocktail or a cool beer as you let the heat go by... What we love about our location in the neighborhood of Rodadero is that at the end of the day you can enjoy sunset on the beach in an untouched colombian atmosphere; live music, street food, warm breeze and colombians enjoying one of their favorite destination. Here you will get a real taste of the carribean ! We are in the heart of it all, minutes from bars, clubs, restaurants, super markets, vendor markets, a shopping mall and best of all a beach that never sleeps.
El Rodadero is famous for its crystal clear waters and white sanded beach with easy access to the nearby attractions such as diving, exploring Tayrona Park or trekking to the Lost City. All guests are welcome to store their luggage free of charge to travel light. Over time we have come up with our own recomendation book and can help you out to plan the rest of your stay on the coast. Don't hesitate to ask our bilingual staff for any tips.
