Sorry, registration for the Unconference is closed. We have reached the maximum capacity for this event
Share your knowledge and learn from other hostel professionals from around the world!
We will have two host hostels for this event: Fabrika Hostel & Suites and Envoy Hostel & Tours
How does an Unconference work?
The format of a Hostel Management Unconference consists entirely of group discussions - picture something like the HostelManagement.com forums but in person! There are no one-way presentations and no sales pitches--only hostel managers discussing what we love most. The Unconference is an opportunity to meet other hostel managers, talk about issues that affect hostels, and share our combined knowledge and experience for the mutual benefit of all participants.
Conversation topics will be proposed in advance by the attendees. When you register, please submit the questions to which you would like to find answers at the Unconference. Each registrant will submit the topics that they are most interested in discussing, and we will decide the order of discussion during the event. As there are no presentations, all attendees are asked to take part in the discussions and contribute their own ideas. All discussions will be held in English.
The Unconference is organized around a 2.5-day format, with an informal welcome event on the evening of November 13, followed by organized discussions, cultural exploration of the city, and plenty of networking on November 14 and 15. The Unconference will be finished and participants will depart on November 16. We highly suggest planning your trip to include extra travel days for tourism around the country and the region!
Tentative Schedule
13 November: Arrival in Tbilisi, welcome drinks in the evening
14 November: Full day with discussions sessions in the morning and afternoon with networking in the evening
15 November: Full day with discussion sessions in the morning and afternoon, a cultural tour of the city, and networking in the evening
16 November: Checkout and departure, or stick around and take an alternative tour of the city
(Optional) 17-23 November: Do yourself a favor and schedule an extra week away from your hostel to travel around and explore this amazing region. You’ve worked hard all year, and you deserve it!
For anyone wishing to travel around the region after the Unconference, (highly recommended) Envoy Hostels are offering 20% off of their hostel and tours at Envoy Hostel Yerevan in Armenia.
