Accor Hotel’s cool Hotel Room Timeline

Accor Hotels put together a cool photo timeline following the development of a hotel room starting in 1910 and going out into the future in 2030.

It’s interesting to see how the décor changes, and also the technology.

It would be really cool to track a hostel dorm over the lifetime of a hostel to see what gets added and removed. For example: Lists of chores and lockout times on the walls, reading lamps, wi-fi routers, power points by each bed, curtains on bunkbeds, laptop shelves, digital display boards, personal media screens, wireless speakers, sleeping pods, meditation chambers…

How different will hostel dorms look in the future, and what cool new features will appear? What staple features do you think will always be a part of a dorm room?
