Europe vs. Mexico ????

Hi there! I'm 25 years old, I have all my plans done, cash and willing to start a hostel :D, a small one though :p but i'm pretty sure a very good one, after travelling for almost 2 years i wanted to open it in Amsterdam, but as far as i've read, your only advice is to get away from those monster cities when u r a newcomer and mostly one with a small hostel, i'm drivign myself crazy thinking about location, so i need pro's advice, should i keep to "mother hostel" europe? or open it let's say in one of mexico's beaches (mayan riviera,, cancun,, los cabos,,,) ?
