Hey guys,
I've seen a lot of brillian ideas thown around here for activities to bring up the fun factor. From board games, toga parties to wii tounaments and etc...My questions is all this really necessary? Or is a simple drink night/group dinner/BBQ sufficient to raise the fun factor and get everyone involved.
P.S. If anyone has any ideas on activities that have worked very well for them, I'd love to know what they are.

Another good idea :
talk to the owner of the nearby bar, maybe you'll have some good ideas like discount of free drink for the guests from your hostel.We made it and everydody are happy: guests are happy, we are happy because the guests are happy and bar owner is happy because after free drink they always buy more.
Sounds good as long as guests don't get too drunk and come back to the hostel and make a mess :p

We only had other problem once: guests got too drunk at the hostel and made a mess in the bar :D
