Hi everyone! Just wanted to say hello and say a little about ourselves. We are Ben and Amber from the UK. We have been passionate about backpacking for almost ten years now and have travelled to all corners of globe all in hostels. All of our working lives we have worked in in hotels and pubs and are currently running our own pub in York. However our dream has always been to run a hostel. We would like to manage a hostel first and then look at buying our own one day. We welcome any advice anyone can give.

Welcome to the Forum! It's great to have some more enthusiastic future hostel owners on board.
Out of curiosity, does your current pub have additional space above/around/near it that could be converted into a hostel, or do you think you would have to find another business to buy in order to make it happen?
