Introduce Yourself
Hi there....
I just started my own Hostel.. EDU HOSTEL JOGJA.. Yaiyy!! Well.. it's not just me.. it's the whole family.. my dad as the investor, mom being the commissioner while me and my younger brother are the ones that are actually in charge on the operational of the hostel.
I got the idea to started a hostel because i studied in UK for my bachelor. Stayed in some hostels while exploring UK and Europe. When I'm back in Indonesia, i realized there are not many hostels around.. just budget hotels.. Managed to convinced my father to invest in the idea... and after a long and challenging process. Our Hostel is up and operational :D
There are still a lot of things to learn in operating a hostel... This Forum has been helpful in assisting me in some set up areas.

Hi Dani! I met some of your family during the Hostel Management Unconference in Istanbul. Your hostel sounded great when it was still in planning, and it looks even better now that it’s done. Congratulations on getting everything up and running! I wish all of you the best of luck and lots of fun!

Hi Nick! Thank you for your email. Starting a business is never easy. We had plenty challenges because it was the first project of its kind in Indonesia. There were delays and additional costs.
Hi Brian! Thank you for your kind words. Yes, you met my brother back in Istanbul - Andre Yahya. Now he is the one that is managing the daily operations. Good to be connected to you. Where are you based?
