Alrighty then, here's my blurb. So two friends and I are sick of the grind here in Austin and have made it a point to all get in a good trip the last few years, all in Central and South America. We have extensive experience with bar/restaurant management, technology, and small business ownership with a beginning capital of 45k and one of us has a dual US/Mexico citizenship. We are currently writing a business plan and since we do not have a location picked out yet, we will be writing a expense heavy plan, (i.e. opening in a more expensive locale such as Costa Rica or Mexico). Optimal time to green light this crazy train will be January 2014 or soon after.
I am hoping this website and forum can lead me to some great contacts and advice. Specifically, start up and operating costs, and the profit margin as we start the machine. I will be able to work my current job to offset costs, another will be contributing start up cash and handling the website, and one will be handling operations (this partner will be the only one needing to draw salary for the startup). Anybody out there with a working and successful 3 man ownership/operating team? If so, I love to start a corresponce.
Well, I've loved what this site has to offer so far and look forward to gleaning more information and making some contacts. Best of luck to all!
Cheers,
David Hadersbeck
