Hi Everyone,
My name is Paul and I work at The Circus in Berlin, and I am responsible for communications for both the hostel and the hotel. Previously I was the editor of packed magazine and before that I worked for the EHC (Gomio.com).
Anyway, I have been reading this site for a while and have long thought it is an extremely useful resource. As I am not directly involved in the day to day running of the hostel, I am mostly interested in discussions around marketing, using websites, and how we communicate with our guests face to face and through other means. Hopefully I will have some interesting things to offer as well as learning from all the members here.

Hi. Berlin is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe I had visited late last year. Circus is a very nice name for a hostel/hotel business.
Looking forward to learning from you about web and other forms of marketing... since you were editor of packed magazine, are you also a writer? Regards

Hi Green Mango. Yes, I am a writer in my spare time...before I went back to the Circus I was freelance for a couple of years, with packed and writing for some other publications.
I will check out some of the marketing and web threads when I have a little more time...I'm looking forward to learning about what others do and hopefully contributing some ideas of my own.
