Hello! My name is Timothy Lin. I'm currently a graduate student at Cornell's School of Hotel Administration pursuing a Masters in Management and Hospitality. The program that I joined is a partnership with NTU in Singapore, where we are gaining exposure to the hospitality industry in Asia.

I am passionate about creating a quality hostel experience, and I am looking for ways to learn more about hostels. I am particularly interested in the developing network of hostels throughout Asia-Pacific.

I am seeking an opportunity for an internship with a hostel organization that is innovative and ambitious in providing travelers with a unique cultural exchange experience. Any advice on which companies are the leaders in the industry?

I love meeting new people and would appreciate any help along my journey.

If you're looking for big hostel companies, see the list of hostel chains. For smaller companies, I would look through the lists of hostels in the destination you are interested in, and check the reviews around the web to find one that looks well-run.

Thanks for the tips. Very helpful resource! Hopefully I'll find a suitable organization.

I wonder if any of the tourism boards in Europe have any statistical data on the impact of backpackers on the tourism economy.
