Hello World!

Dear Friends,
This site was recommended to me by a hostel owner in Seattle with whom I met this past weekend. I am very excited about the vast amount of resources and all the FREE information. I love passionate people who share things with others.

I am currently a student in Bellingham, WA and I am also part of a group that is working to start a hostel there. We started our project in November and plans are developing nicely. I am trying very hard to learn as much as possible in a short amount of time. My spring break has been dedicated to working in hostels, meeting/interviewing hostel owners, and writing a business plan. Plus, exploring this website as much as possible!!

So far, I am loving and embracing each step of hostel development. I still have far to go - but I am eager to meet others who have made hostelling their lifestyle (managing, working, traveling, etc.)

I have been wanting to start a hostel since 2004, but I have been traveling so much and have never been invested enough in one place to consider starting a business. Since moving to Bellingham, I have fallen in love with the city and have devoted many hours to the hostel plan.
