We all have a feasibility study and we always fall back on our business plan, or at least we should considering the way the market is moving on the Internet. My concern ironically refers to the principles of building the foundation to a perfect hostel. I consider this to refer to my feasibility study. A hostel that can mold and form with the fast pace and changing environment, scalability in the hostel world that adjusts seamlessly, invisibly but always possibly transparent. Transparent to the effect that it would be considered innovated and regarded as a smart direction towards good business innovation. Listening to guests needs, all the while bringing in profits. Is a given, but we have the luxury to be personal, relative, character can go a long way, match them to our dreams.
How can we maximize sales based on our product mix, What are some of the constraints to factor in when identifying the optimum product mix?
nugget: Could we make our hostels scalable and change with the seasons-aligning our marketing mix to match new levels of projected sales? like moving walls to change the size of the rooms, last minute changes, bundling private and double rooms to form a dorm of 10 beds from two and single rooms, then setting price points for last minute walk ins at a higher rate.--- ok I might have over did it with imagination?
These are some of the questions i have in mind when I refer back to my old studies...what are your thoughts?
