I'm Oneil - Founder of Thrust Hostels

Hi everyone,

My name is Oneil. And I've been on a mission to launch my own hostel ever since visiting El Misti Hostel Copacabana in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro. This was by far one of my best experiences at a hostel and I decided I wanted to recreate this experience especially for the LGBT traveler. I was unable to find any gay hostels in Rio de Janeiro. There were many that touted themselves as gay-friendly. I realized that the same situation exists here in the United States and so my hostels will be specifically geared toward the LGBT traveler, however, we will certainly welcome travelers of any orientation.

I hold a BA and MA in Communication from the University of Central Florida and have been working in corporate America for over a decade. Half of this time, I have spent shadowing some of the most brilliant CEOs in Florida. I think this has given me both the courage and determination to launch out and become an entrepreneur myself.
