open-source initiative

Hello,
Let me fast explain why i have decided to post here. Since few months I have invested a lot of time into, while developing Real Estate platform for local client, rewriting PHP-residence for own needs. At some point it has become obvious for me that there is not to many free, open-source management and booking systems for hotel/hostel industry. Idea of writing one become my main goal.

As far all good, and soon we may see first usable version (of course connection to existing services, booking sites, etc will not be implemented yet), but at this point all suggestions, opinions and reflections would be greatly appreciated. Building quite complex suite offers many challenges, so any of Yours feedback will be good motivation and would help me to avoid omissions or mistakes of existing software.
