More news about the closing of youth hostels in the UK:
"Business owners in Greenhead and Acomb say the villages will be "hit very hard" when their youth hostels close later this year.
For generations, both hostels have accommodated large parties of tourists visiting Hadrian’s Wall, the Pennine Way and other local attractions.
The hostels will close at the end of the summer season, along with those at Alston and Bellingham, because the Youth Hostel Association says they are not viable."
