Globetrotter Inns, based in Scotland, plans to open hostels across Europe:
Managing director Dale Clark said he was planning to open hostels in Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid and Paris - and is also looking to open in a number of Eastern European cities including Krakow and Gdansk in Poland and Tallinn in Estonia.
He is also hoping to expand in the UK, with a second Edinburgh hostel on the cards, possibly in the city centre, as well as another branch in London. The flagship 380-bed Globetrotter Inn in Edinburgh is based in the former Commodore Hotel in Silverknowes.
