17 Room Hostel For Sale In Costa Rican Capital
Asking Price: $30,000
Reason for Selling: After four years of running a hostel, sometimes from a far, I feel it is time to move on to other things. It has been a very enjoyable experience and I have made some great friends but I want to go back to University in the U.S. and having a business in another country while concentrating on my studies is a tall order.
About the Hostel: Castle Tam Hostel is a 17 room hostel located in San Pedro, a short bus ride to and just on the outside of San Jose, Costa Rica. If you do just a little research you will find the appeal of living in a place not directly downtown. Only a few blocks from the building is the Calle de la Armagura, a popular street in the University District full of bars and restaurants. Also nearby are two large supermarkets, a smaller corner store, the Mall of San Pedro (with movie theater), banks and most anything else guests would find handy. Inside there are the 17 room; some single, some double, one dorm and one back up dorm which can be rented as a private room, four public bathrooms and four rooms with private bathrooms. There are also two fully stocked kitchens. This is a big selling point as many backpackers prefer to save money and cook in house when they can. There is an indoor courtyard, surveillance cameras, laundry facilities, computers and more. I can send a complete inventory list to interested people. One key amenity is the solar heater I installed after purchasing the business. My electric bill was cut in 1/3 and the heater paid for itself in less than a year.
Asking price: $30,000. This is for the business and everything inside. The building is not included in the sale but the landlords are obviously amenable to allowing a hostel to be run there, a major hurdle for someone looking to start from scratch. If you would like to contact me please send me an email at [email protected]. I am not interested in any form of partnership. Please only contact me if you are legitimately interested and have the means to finance the venture. Thank you and have a nice day.
Update: So, apparently the maximum size to load photos need to be consistent with thumbnails from the late 1990s. If you would like to see photos please go to www.castletam.com.
