ABOUT ROCK SOLID

Located in a city building with some interesting past occupants such as the first Rotorua shopping mall back in the 80’s and Inland Revenue Department head offices, Rock Solid Backpackers Rotorua is new on the local scene and one of the more spacious hostels located in downtown Rotorua. Our vision is simply to make it the most popular hostel in town by providing a clean, modern, comfortable and inviting hostel.

OUR FEATURES

Some of our biggest features are FREE High Speed WiFi, FREE pool table, FREE table tennis, FREE tea and coffee! Our facilities also include a large comfortable lounge with floor-to-ceiling viewing windows that look out over a 17 metre high rock climbing wall so you can get a bird’s-eye-view without leaving your sofa! After an adventure-filled day you can relax by watching a movie on our big screen TV or find a book in our FREE Book Exchange and curling up in our reading snug. We even boast 2 additional lounges so you can chill out upstairs and after hours as well. With 3 lounges and a large kitchen/dining room, the social atmosphere at Rock Solid Backpackers ROCKS!!

You can also book local tours and attractions to many of the fantastic activities such as white-water rafting, Maori villages, thermal parks and spa treatments - simply said, we can organize everything you want to do in and around Rotorua! Our staff are trained and experienced in ALL there is to do around Rotorua...and we are all locals as well!

For convenience we also provide FREE luggage and bike storage and in-room lockers.
