News provided by Bed and Bars Group:
The Directors of the Beds and Bars group are delighted to announce the addition of Prague to their portfolio of budget accommodation - based in capital cities across Europe. This will be the eighteenth hostel and hotel to be added to the Beds and Bars group, which now operates in seven countries.
This will be a joint venture with the owners of Bohemian Hostels in Prague who currently own and operate Sir Toby’s, Miss Sophie’s and the Czech Inn.
The new project will be called Mosaic House and will open in the very centre of Prague. Mosaic House will incorporate a mix of high quality four star hotel rooms, a number of multi bed dormitories, a Belushi’s bar and a restaurant.
This new fusion of accommodation will cater to everyone – from the budget conscious backpacker to the last minute business traveller, with the highest standards of accommodation and all the facilities demanded by today’s travellers.
Mosaic House will have 270 beds contained within a historically protected and renovated, city centre building at Odburů 4. This great location is less than 100 metres from Charles Square.
Mosaic House has also been designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible, with heat capturing technology on the roof and the Czech Republic’s very first grey water recycling unit.
Managing Director of Beds and Bars, Keith Knowles said: “We’ve been looking at Prague for a few years and now we have the opportunity to build a business, as part of a great local partnership. I believe this partnership is the key to success.
“Prague will compliment our operations in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Bruges, London, Edinburgh, Newquay, Bath and Brighton. My team and I are very excited by this great opportunity.”
