The Scottish Youth Hostels' Association has opened up their new Edinburgh hostel:
The new Edinburgh Central has over 300 beds, all en-suite rooms, seminar facilities, cafe bistro, restaurant, plus traditional self catering facilities, Internet access, a travel information desk and 24-hour access.
Conveniently located within walking distance of Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle, and less than 10 miles from Edinburgh airport, this former office building is ideally situated and will provide much-needed quality, affordable accommodation.
The £10m investment is the largest by SYHA since the recent refurbishment of its Glasgow and Inverness hostels and the transformation of the remote Loch Ossian Youth Hostel into an Eco-hostel using the very latest environmental science.
