Hostel staff at two hostels in Edinburgh are worried about losing their jobs:
WORKERS at two Edinburgh youth hostels fear they could be about to lose their jobs, despite an apparent promise they were to be relocated to the city's £10 million new hostel.
After serving families and travellers for more than 60 years, the two hostels in Bruntsfield and Haymarket will close within the next fortnight to be replaced by the 300-bed Edinburgh Central hostel on Haddington Place, which opened on September 5.
Keith Legge, chief executive of the Scottish Youth Hostel Association (SYHA), had previously said that the majority of full-time staff would be offered positions at the new hostel.

Mr Pringle said: "I think it's an absolute outrage, and I will be writing to Mr Legge again about this.
