Okinawa Hostels

I'm currently in Okinawa, Japan and have stayed at a couple of hostels here in Naha.

Here are some things that I like about the hostels in Okinawa that I've stayed at:

* They were very clean.
* The front desk staff are very polite and helpful.
* The beds have very thin pads for mattresses with a beanbag for a pillow. I really like this.
* Hostel beds are still cheap -- 1500 yen (~$13.50 USD) per night or sometimes even less.
* Free Internet computers.

Things that I wish they had:
* Free wireless Internet

Because the lowest bunk is on the floor, there is enough room for three levels:

The first hostel that I stayed at had dorm beds arranged like a Japanese capsule hotel -- except made out of wood. At the foot of the dorm bed "capsule" there was a curtain for privacy. There was a small alcove next to each dorm bed that was large enough for a duffel bag and day pack. The "capsule" arrangement wasn't bad -- it might be a way for a hostel with limited space to add more beds.
