Hi all,
Just wanted to give a thanks to everyone on this site. I've been coming to the site researching and reading posts for the last year. I'm glad to say I've just put a lease offer in on a 4000sqft location. The list is one more item shorter, now I just need City planning to approve it, the financing to come through and contractors to start their work.
Anyways just wanted to say thanks!!

Yeah, I'm opening in Calgary. Its been a rough road so far just trying to find a property that is A) affordable, B) that the landlord will actually allow a backpacker hostel and C) meets the very constricted city zoning regulations. When I first started researching I couldn't understand why Calgary only had one Hostel, now I know exactly why.

When you think of this hassle at the end of this quest, your knowledge results having doubled the number of hostels in Calgary! :D
