I would suggest that they ask the guests to give a review when they check.
Also in addition, following up with each guest after they leave via email to get feedback, if they want a newsletter and to prompt them to leave positive reviews on the booking engine they selected. All that data should be readily available and sent out automatically after the guests leaves.

No matter what they do in order to hunt these reveiws down, one thnig is certain 100% - they do offer very quality stuff. No doubts.

I was asking myself the same the other day....And the funny thing is that all of those hostels are based in Lisbon and doing a great job. Defo there is a technique that they are using to generate reviews (iam not saying good reviews) but to keep people uploading their comments
