Looking to get into the hostel business

Hi!
I joined this site because I am interested in starting a hostel in Cleveland, OH. I probably won't have the means to do this for a few years but I figure I should start getting ideas and learning about the business now.
In summer 2008 I drove from California to Cleveland via Route 66 and stayed at several hostels. The best experience by far was at the hostel in Flagstaff, AZ - which started getting me thinking about owning my own hostel. I know Cleveland might not seem like the most likely of places - but we have a lot to offer the budget traveler!
I look forward to learning from and exchanging ideas with all of you!

Cleveland is a great town with lots to see and do. There is much opportunity to subsidize your startup there with casual labor available for those working types that want a day or a week's work before they move on to the next travel destination.
