I love Shunda Creek hostel. And the run up Coliseum Mountain. Good luck with your search and have fun at the Olympics.
Hello all,
My name is Emilie, I am currently in my home town of Ottawa, looking to head out to western Canada for the winter to: work, ski and take in a little bit of Olympic action.
To date I have worked in two hostels: one in Bruges, Belgium and another in tiny 'town' of Nordegg, located in Alberta. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Bruges, but right now I think western Canada is the place for me!
I hope to get an opportunity to give, receive, learn and share hostelling experiences with everyone here.
Emilie.

Consider Koslo, BC as as a possible before you make your final choice. It may be the combination of the two places. It is a true centre for Summer eco-tourism and a great 'hot spot' for ski bums and heli-skiing in the winter.
The Kootenay Lake Guest House is in the heart of the Village and is a short walk from all the attractions.

Powder Creek Lodge is a roomy 2 1/2 story wood frame alpine ski lodge nestled in a picturesque alpine basin overlooking Lise Nicola Lake and Powder Creek Valley. It is accessible only by helicopter during ski season.

Everything is connected from the central hub of Koslo.

I hope this gives you insight into a possible destination. All the best for the Olympics.

Thanks for all the tips.
I have settled in Jasper here and I am currently looking for a bit more employment. I have secured a little bit of housekeeping work, but I am not sure how many hours I am going to be receiving from that job, so if anyone has any contacts or recommendations for an additional job it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Emilie
