Hallo! Roger from Norway
"Hallo!" is what he says when he greets people, or answer his phone. His name is Roger and he is 27 summers and 26 winters old. He is tall. He reached 186cm up into the sky .. space. 186cm into space. One of his greatest wishes is to be the first Norwegian to be shot 168 000km into space in a capsule with a few other people. Mr Madsen wants to know the feeling to look at the blue planet from great distance and think -- 'I'm here ... and absolutely everybody else! everyone! e-v-e-r-t-h-i-n-g I know! ... is waaaaaay over .. there.'

The past 3,5 years I've been working as an electrician being the project leader/manager on many big and small projects. All from installing generator powered barges with feeding-systems for salmon fish-farms. A 1400m2 office and conferance center with a fitness- and spacenter at a golfpark. Admission-control, security- and alarm-systems on big schools, and ofcourse normal house-installations. I recently lost my job though when the financial crysis reached Norway. So the company had to let alot of people go. :(
Now I'm planning to leave the Kingdom of Norway for more than just a few weeks on vacation. I want to meet new people with different backgrounds and cultures. That's the reason I'm looking for a hostel that will give me the chance to work in exchange for accomadation and pocket money.
I am creative, practical, responsible, honest and dedicated. I'm a social, forthcoming, easy going and relaxed being sharing good vibes with the people around me and value all people equally.
My mother tounge is Norwegian, and my second language is English (excellent). I also communicate in Swedish and Danish. I also want to learn Spanish, Italian or French.
Through my years of experience working as an electrician and leading projects I've become very practical when it comes to 'this and that'. I can be useful maintaining property, fixing, changing or installing new things at the hostel.
I've been using computers since i was 11 years old, so I know a fair bit about them and what they can do. I studied media design for one semester. Graphic- and webdesign, photography and musicproduction are my greatest passions. So if you have 2 cd-players and a mixer at your hostel I can spin records on the weekends ;)
I would prefer getting a job at a hostel in, or close to Milan. But if I can't find work there, I'm aiming for somewhere where I can easily get there by plane or train.
Tip: http://ryanair.com/
Ryanair fly to Seville and Granada in Spain. Riga in Latvia and many other destinations. So if your hostel is close to a RyanAir airport that would be great! I could also work somewhere south in france. There's always a train into italy? ;)
If you have any questions you can e-mail me at mlit83(a)gmail.com
Or you can call me (+47)92658468.
Hope to hear from you!
Best regards, Roger Madsen
