iPhone App idea

Hello Ladies & Gents, got a quick question for you.

I've done a fair amount of traveling around Asia, got back recently and I'm trying to come up with ideas to help fund my next trip (traveling for too long really ruins you for proper jobs)

Anyway, I'm a programmer and this afternoon an idea struck me, one of the most useful things you can have when traveling is the hostelcard for a good hostel in the next place your visiting. Hopefully it has a little map and some instructions on how to get to it when you arrive.

I wondered if you couldn't make an iphone app version of that, an app that would showcase the hostel (pictures, rooms, facilities e.t.c.) but also have directions, perhaps a scanned copy of the hostelcard, maps as well if possible.

I wondered if the hostel owners on here would be interested in something like that?

There's a lot of possibilities with it, you could for example add facebook likes & twitter shares pointing back to your hostels website, you could even add an "email friend" feature so people could email details of the hostel & app really quickly to people they meet.

Anyway I'm just putting some feelers out to see if anyones interested, no point in building something if there aren't any customers :)
