Background
The Fylde Backpackers is the only accredited Backpackers Hostel in Blackpool (accredited with www.enjoyengland.com Backpackers 4star rating). It is a niche product to the most visited tourist resort in the UK, and is one of only 5 Backpackers and accredited hostels in Lancashire. The Fylde became the only hostel in Blackpool in December 2008 and since then it has become very busy with walkers, cyclists and international travellers, specialist and school groups. The Fylde also attracts couples, families and small groups as it is a quality product and now has a good repeat and recommendation database.

We have had The Fylde for 3 and a half years and have modernised the property considerably. The property was originally a Vicarage and was built in 1895 and still has some of its original features. As the property has been modernised it has become more popular and has future bookings and a good repeat database. The Fylde scores highly on www.hostelbookers.com and also www.webresint.com.
We are family run (mother, father & daughter) and are looking at downsizing as my parents are looking at retiring. As we become more established the busier we are becoming! We are also looking to relocate to be with other family members.

We are centrally located in Blackpool and within walking distance to the train station and coach terminal. Direct road links from the M55 motorway. We are located within walking distance to all of the attractions, 8 minute walk to the town centre and Promenade.

Our turnover for 2008/2009 was £66,729. There is tremendous scope to increase this turnover by optimizing the Basement Bar and extending the services and facilities currently offered. Accounts, Net and Gross Profit figures are available when viewing.
