Located within the northern boundary of the beautiful Historical Center of Quito, a growth area that has been under constant renovation and improvement since a huge restoration process which has been undertaken over the last several years. The historical center is now the preferred location for travellers instead of the traditional “gringoland” or Mariscal area, but is under supplied as far as hostel/backpacker accomodation. It is a UNESCO historical site, being the best preserved colonial city in South America. A truly unique and beautiful city. All the main tourist attractions within 25 minutes walk. Plenty of capital growth potential as investors are buying into the Historical Center, and apartment developments are taking place.
Our area is one block from Alameda park the oldest in Quito which has been totally restored and renovated. Also recently a 5 star boutique hotel has opened just down the road, and the old Eugenio Espejo hospital a few minutes away has been restored and made into a convention center. Great Itchimbia park is 10 minutes walk uphill with the best views in Quito which is very safe with sporting facilities and constant events.
Official police records show lower crime rates in the Historical Center than La Mariscal "new town" (area with nightlife, international restaurants, travel agencies etc)
Very close to the three main buslines - Trolley, Ecovia and Metro buses which have their own lanes making travel fast and cheap. Alameda park being the bottleneck part of Quito which means all transport stops are close.
