The hostel is perfect for anyone curious to visit the Welsh capital and experience the celebrated Welsh hospitality. While Cardiff offers a vast array of sites to see and places to visit, Mrs. Potts is the perfect home away from home to relax, unwind and spend hours chatting to an eclectic group of fellow travellers and friendly staff after a "hard" day of sightseeing.

Located in the heart of the city on St Mary’s Street, Mrs. Potts is a retreat from bustling city life but perfectly located so it is only a few minutes walk from all the main attractions of Cardiff such as the beautiful and historic castle, the national museum and theatres, and we couldn't be closer to the Millennium Stadium if we tried!

Take a walk into the city centre and spend a day meandering around the lively restaurants, pubs or wander through Cardiff’s Victorian arcades. These are ideal for finding keepsakes, gifts and unique presents to take home to your family and friends.

Situated adjacent to the castle, iconic Bute Park is a picturesque summertime spot for residents and tourists alike. Stop off at one of Cardiff’s famous tearooms or take a boat ride adventure to Cardiff Bay; Recently developed and regenerated with the barage's construction in early 2000's whilst keeping all of Cardiff's character and history. Home to the Wales Millennium Centre, the National Assembly for Wales, a vast array of restaurants and bars overlooking the water, and not forgetting the famous Doctor Who experience. You could even hire a bike to go cycling along the coastal trail to nearby Penarth and maybe even get an ice cream! Cardiff is your oyster and the choice is yours...

After a busy day out exploring all Cardiff has to offer, spend the night in your very own cabin bed which are housed in our shared dormitories, which have curtains, a reading light and your very own mains POWER. (Raaaar!)

Located at reception are maps, leaflets and a friendly face to help you make the most of your visit to Cardiff. Our staff are always happy to help and want you to leave the city loving it as much as we do. Meet fellow travellers in our common room where you can relax, share stories from home and make plans to explore our wonderful city.

You can cook a warm, comforting meal in the kitchen and do your washing in our laundry room where you can meet some new friends whilst you are waiting for your clothes to dry.

If you fancy a change of scene we also recommend popping down to our sister hostel, Bunkhouse, which is located a little further down St Mary Street and has a cosy bar with beds for seating! Here you can unwind and meet some more fellow backpackers, creating a few more special memories over a drink or two...
