Planning on employment at a hostel

Hello!

My name is Tom, and I've been thinking about working for a hostel. It's not quite as simple as it sounds since I don't really have any offers and neither am I looking for job offers here... Like I said, it's complicated. I used to work as a mattress retailer, so I've been thinking about how could I apply those skills. Hostels do need to take care of their mattresses, right? And I can do just that.

The thing is, I'm not sure if it's not a stupid idea... So there. I hope I wasn't rambling.

For the right kind of person, working in a hostel is the greatest job in the world! If you think that it might be for you, then it very well may be.

In a hostel you will use every skill you have, and probably develop some that you never thought about. Whatever you bring in from your previous role as a mattress retailer will certainly transfer to a hostel, as long as you’re willing to go all in and use your skills.
