India House Hostel is the closest hostel to Jazz Fest, Voodoo Fest, City Park, the Museum and the Cemeteries, all within easy walking distance. We are on the Canal streetcar line, just minutes to the French Quarter.
We are also on the Endymion parade route which is the biggest and best parade at Mardi Gras.

Dorms & Private Rooms

We provide dorms (mixed and single sex) and private rooms, as well as private rooms with en suite bathroom for up to 4 people. All en suite rooms are set up for double (1 double bed) as well as twin (separate beds) occupancy !

Common Areas & Entertainment

We have spacious comfortable common rooms with relaxing sofas and flat screen t.v with dvds and games, and a fully equipped kitchen with a HUGE COURTYARD, BBQ area, and SWIMMING POOL provide a great place to chill in N’awlins before heading out for a fun night. The atmosphere is second to none.

On our outside stage we have band nights, open mike nights and movies on the big screen. We also have swimming pool parties, crawfish boils, cookouts and bbqs.

NO Curfew or Lock-out

India House has NO curfew or lock-out period. Kitchen, common rooms and all facilities are available 24hrs a day. In addition we are walking distance to local pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and all amenities a traveler would need. Or just enjoy a relaxing time in our rear courtyard sipping a cold beer with fellow travelers from around the globe.
