Hello!

My name is Tom, and I've been thinking about working for a hostel. It's not quite as simple as it sounds since I don't really have any offers and neither am I looking for job offers here... Like I said, it's complicated. I used to work as a mattress retailer, so I've been thinking about how could I apply those skills. Hostels do need to take care of their mattresses, right? And I can do just that.

The thing is, I'm not sure if it's not a stupid idea... So there. I hope I wasn't rambling.

I had a hostel management with a couple posts and private messages going back in forth.  Now, it won't accept my password and says that my username and email are both not recognized.  The posts have also been removed from the forum.  Anybody know anything about this?

I'm writing this post from a new, temporary account until I sort it out.

Hi all, great that such a forum exists and from the looks of it, there is plenty going on...

I have just joined and am hoping to end my procrastination... I am looking to partner, manage, own (one day) and bring energy, ideas and passion to a hostel project in Ireland or perhaps further afield. If anyone has any insights, direction, guidance or a plain heads up on any opportunities please do get in contact. This is something I have been day dreaming about for years and not a passing whim. Time to make it happen and to start the move in the right direction...

Good day everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. Name is Steve and I'm located just outside of Detroit, MI. Moved here from Nebraska after taking a early retirement from law enforcement. Made a career change into finance and now a financial advisor. Looking at opening a hostel in France or Chile (I know, a bit of a distance between the two). Went to Chile in 2010 to Torres del Paine and loved it. Also was in France back in 1990 and loved it as well. Best of both worlds.

Would like to receive some feedback on my idea. Best areas of France to consider and any tips would be helpful. If I decide on Chile, it will be near Punta Arenas but tips would be helpful as well.
