153 Bed Hostel to Open in Moscow

The planned new hostel will be operated by VashOtel, which already runs 11 hotels with 4,000 beds.

...Industry analysts say there are about 50 hostels working in the city at the moment, providing beds for roughly 1,000 people.

But while some of these, particularly around Arbat, are geared towards tourists, many are unwelcoming affairs offering low-quality accommodation to the poorest of migrant workers.
