The Cleveland Hostel and Indy Hostel are partnering to host the third annual Hostel Summit in Cleveland, OH on April 10-12.
This two-day event will be filled with topics and discussion on the multi-faceted hostel service industry. Our objective is to foster collaboration, encourage idea sharing for best practices, discuss trends in the hostel business, work together to strengthen our businesses, and celebrating hostelling!
Hostelling in the United States is growing and each year more and more hostels are opening. Collaboration amongst hostels is key to strengthening the entire hostel industry throughout North America! The 2016 Hostel Summit is a third annual gathering of hostel owners/staff to share information and work together to bolster our businesses!

Summit Details:
Guests are invited to arrive Sunday, April 10 for a welcome dinner. The conference will begin at 9am on Monday, April 11 for a full day of conference activities. The conference ends approximately at 11am on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
Summit Fees:
The cost of the summit is $100 per person and includes food, beverages, and tax: 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, and 1 lunch. Dinners will be held at local restaurants that best showcase the local tastes and culture of Cleveland. Breakfasts and lunches will be catered during the conference event. No adult beverages are included in the summit cost.
Accommodations at Cleveland Hostel can be added for $23/night (shared dorm room) or $59/night in a private room (includes up to 2 people). Prices include taxes and a 25% discount.

That's a great question. I sent a message to the organizers to find out, and I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

Both Indy Hostel and The Cleveland Hostel have confirmed that future hostel owners, and anyone even considering a future as a hostel owner, are absolutely welcome.
