Beds and Bars LTD Win at the Hoscars and the Hostelbookers Awards
Beds and Bars LTD beat off stiff competition to win three awards at the Hoscars – the Hostelworld Customer Annual Ratings Awards.
The award for the Best New Hostel to open in 2010 went to St Christopher's at Mosaic House in Prague.
The Best Hostel in the Netherlands went to the Flying Pig Downtown in Amsterdam – an award voted for by customers in the Netherlands.
In the category for the Best Hostel Microsite, St Christopher's in Paris was recognised as the hostel most successfully promoted online.
Duncan Robertson, General Manager of Media and Communications at Beds and Bars LTD said: “We're thrilled to be recognised for our hard work at creating fantastic hostels across Europe.”
Beds and Bars also took home the Best Value Hostel in February 2011 award from Hostelbookers, recognising the site in Berlin. This award is based solely on guest reviews.
Europe’s Famous Hostels, a Beds and Bars affiliate company, also took home a number of awards at the Hoscars. Villa St. Exupery in Nice was awarded Best Hostel in France, Friendly Fun Frank's hostel in Riga achieved fifth place in the Best Large Hostels category, Hostel of the Sun in Naples won sixth place in the Best Small Hostel category and Oasis Backpacker's Hostel in Granada was awarded eighth place in the Best Small Hostel category.[/INDENT]
