Find these sort of things interesting - govts using twitter and suchlike to "connect" with the people. The problem is of course that for it to have any use the people have to feel that their input is valued. Interesting article here about the new UK govt using crowdsourcing to get ideas for govt. Ultiimately according to the article all the ideas were effectively ignored.
It's hard for me personally to take these sort of initiatives seriously. Do people believe that any of these politicians regularly check their twitter or facebook? Or even write the content on it? Perhaps I am just too cynical.
