We have had unfortunately overbookings. ±They happen, because we allow in busy times a certain number of overbooking, as there are always guests who do not show ,up and than it appears that they have invalid credit cards or did not leave any credit card at all. In case of overbooking we try to reallocate the guest ourselves. Booking,com does not like this, as they fear looks of com,mission. Booking,com tries to dominate type proces by reallocating themselves the guest in another location, charging commission at6 the new hotel. At the same time they keep charging the hotel, where the overbooking took place. So they earn 30 to 40%R for each booking,. A reasonable amount for the work they di. Cleaning the hotel, paying the bills. Anyway Booking,com only cost you more than the whole staff....What is your experience.
