Interesting that MS is continuing to allow XP to be used in the Micro laptop market - e.g Asus eee, Acer ASpire one etc. Seems to say it all to me. If there's functionality you need in vista that's missing in XP then go for vista, but it will use more resources. I use XP, I have tried Ubuntu, and like it, but at the moment can't get round to re-learning stuff. I guess that's the inertia factor that keeps MS going. Also I've had problems installing Ubuntu on some PCs, I think it is the way the hard disks are setup in the, but not sure.
I'd like to get an internet kiosk going on Linux of some form - seems a lot more secure than XP.
